A delegation from COMSATS University Islamabad visited the University of Sargodha. Led by Rector Professor Dr Raheel Qamar, the delegation also inaugurated the newly established ORIC Office at the university.
The delegation included:
- Professor Dr. Junaid Mughal (Director, COMSATS University Islamabad Wah Campus)
- Professor Dr. Sajjad A. Madani (Controller of Examinations)
- Dr. Faheem A. Qureshi (Registrar)
- Muhammad Azam (Treasurer)
- Professor Dr. Muhammad Yar (Director, COMSATS University Islamabad Lahore Campus)
- Professor Dr. Abrar Hussain (Director, COMSATS University Islamabad Attock Campus)
Vice Chancellor of the University of Sargodha, Professor Dr. Qaisar Abbas, presented an overview of the university’s current programs and highlighted its recent achievements. He noted that the University of Sargodha currently ranks first among general universities in Punjab and has experienced significant growth over the past four years.
Professor Raheel Qamar, Rector of COMSATS University, emphasized the importance of modern demands and continuous faculty development for university sustainability. He praised the University of Sargodha’s achievements as a guiding light for other institutions, describing it as a "shining star" on Pakistan’s educational horizon.
During their visit, the delegation toured several facilities at the University of Sargodha, including:
- The newly built ORIC Office (inaugurated by Professor Dr. Raheel Qamar)
- University Multi-Purpose Hall
- University Gym
- Pakistan Institute of China Studies
- One Health Center
- University TV
- Waheed Wain Incubation Center
- Wazir Agha Library
- University Facilitation Center
They expressed satisfaction with these facilities, describing them as 21st-century requirements.
Pro Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Masood Sarwar Awan, Registrar Waqar Ahmad, and other university officials also attended the event.
