Country Cannot Afford Violence, Chaos: Nayyer Bukhari
ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - September 16, 2026) Secretary General of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Syed Nayyer Hussain Bukhari on Wednesday stated that the country cannot afford violence, arson, and disorder. He emphasized that no individual should be permitted to take the law into their own hands.
According to him:
Neither can anyone secure the release of a person through force or coercion, nor can prisons be broken into.
He added that mobilizing people for political purposes shouldn't involve resorting to such measures. Nayyer Bukhari pointed out that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has historically acknowledged judicial decisions when they provide relief but confronts the judiciary when a verdict goes against them.
He further criticized PTI's fragmented leadership and "unpolitical" conduct in previous mobilizations, noting their failure to attract significant crowds despite utilizing all available resources in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Nayyer Bukhari asserted that gathering four million people is not a simple task and suggested that excluding Punjab from these efforts was merely a matter of saving face.
