Crackdown on Adulterated Milk and Illegal Slaughtering Intensified in Dera Ismail Khan
Dera Ismail Khan, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – August 26, 2026) The district administration and Livestock Department’s enforcement team, under the supervision of Assistant Commissioner Dr. Muhammad Hamid Siddiq, launched an operation on Wednesday targeting violations related to adulterated milk, illegal slaughtering, and profiteering in various areas of Dera Ismail Khan.
Legal proceedings were initiated against violators under relevant laws. After completing the necessary legal and judicial process, five offenders were brought before the court of the Assistant Commissioner, D I Khan, for further action.
Following the hearings, fines totaling Rs 45,000 were imposed on all five violators under Sections 3/7 of the Price Control and Prevention of Profiteering and Hoarding Act, 1977, for their involvement in profiteering and related offenses.
The district administration reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring the availability of pure milk, quality meat, and safe food for citizens. They emphasized a zero-tolerance policy towards milk adulteration, illegal slaughtering, profiteering, and other violations, without any discrimination.
The administration also warned that strict action would be taken against individuals found compromising food quality and public health standards.
