CTD Kills Five Militants, Including Key ISKP Commander In Peshawar

The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) has killed five militants, including a key commander of the banned Islamic State-Khorasan Province (ISKP), during an operation in the Urmar area near Shamshatu Camp, Peshawar.

According to the CTD, the militants were planning major attacks on sensitive installations, Imambargahs, and churches. The slain militants included ISKP commander Imran, who was wanted in connection with the killings of Maulana Khan Zeb, Senator Hidayatullah, Rehan Zeb, as well as the suicide attack on the Tarlai Imambargah in Islamabad on February 6, 2026.
