Dark Tints Draw ITP Action As Over 450 Vehicles Challaned in One Month
ISLAMABAD, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 23rd Aug, 2026) Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) has taken legal action against more than 450 vehicles with tinted windows during the past month, stepping up enforcement across the Federal capital under its zero-tolerance policy against traffic violations.
An ITP official told APP on Sunday that enforcement against tinted windows and other traffic violations was being further intensified to ensure road discipline and safer travel for citizens. The official stated that special traffic squads had been deployed at major roads and intersections across Islamabad to strictly implement traffic laws.
Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Kainat Azhar Khan emphasized that ITP is taking action against tinted windows and other violations without any discrimination under its zero-tolerance policy. She noted that violations of traffic laws could lead to serious accidents and encouraged citizens to comply with road-safety rules. Following these rules, she said, could protect precious lives—both of drivers and other road users.
Kainat urged motorists to demonstrate responsible behavior and cooperate with ITP for safe and smooth travel. She reiterated that providing a safe traveling environment and maintaining smooth traffic flow in the federal capital remains among ITP’s top priorities.
