DC Astore Reviews Progress on Gorikot-Shagarthang Road Project
DC Astore, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - September 29, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Astore, Neelam Ali, on Tuesday inspected the under-construction Gorikot-Shagarthang Road and directed the concerned officials to expedite land acquisition and compensation matters for timely project progress.
She visited the site accompanied by Assistant Commissioner Shounter Tauseeq Ahmed, Sub-Divisional Officer Ghulam Hussain, and Tehsildar Zia-ur-Rehman. They reviewed the ongoing construction work and discussed private land requirements for the road with officials.
The Deputy Commissioner was briefed about project progress and land acquisition challenges. She emphasized the need to complete land identification, demarcation, and compensation in accordance with legal procedures.
Ali stated that land-related issues should be addressed promptly for development projects. She directed departments to meet all legal requirements while ensuring continued construction according to schedule.
