DC Chiniot Visits Schools in Lalian and Chenab Nagar, Orders Immediate Improvements
CHINIOT, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 10th Sep, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Chiniot Ayesha Rizwan, along with Assistant Commissioner Lalian Habiba Bilal and CO Education Waqas Ahmed Gul, visited Government High School Barana in Tehsil Lalian and Government Model Elementary School Muslim Colony Chenab Nagar.
During her visits, she conducted a thorough review of:
- Educational activities
- Basic facilities for students
- School management
- Cleanliness
- Furniture
- Clean drinking water
and other arrangements.
At Government High School Barana, the DC expressed satisfaction with the overall performance and commended the head of the institution and education department officers. She emphasized that while providing a quality educational environment is crucial, ensuring basic facilities is equally important.
She instructed CO Education Waqas Ahmed Gul to take steps to install a water filtration plant, electric water cooler, and additional furniture in the school.
Later, at Government Model Elementary School Muslim Colony Chenab Nagar, her inspection revealed substandard management and arrangements. The DC expressed anger and ordered:
- Immediate improvements from the head of the institution
- Departmental action against a performing teacher
- The suspension of the concerned MEA and an inquiry led by District Monitoring Officer Shaista Jabeen.
