DC Chiniot Vows Prompt Resolution Of Public Grievances Under Open Door Policy
CHINIOT, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – September 09, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Ayesha Rizwan on Wednesday met citizens under the open door policy at her office and listened to their individual and collective complaints, particularly those concerning issues faced by residents of different villages and government departments.
The citizens submitted applications seeking resolution of their problems and apprised the Deputy Commissioner of difficulties they had encountered in obtaining services from various government departments. After reviewing the complaints, the Deputy Commissioner issued on-the-spot directives to the concerned officers and instructed them to take immediate and effective measures to provide relief to the applicants.
Ayesha Rizwan directed the officers to process all applications strictly on merit, with transparency and in accordance with the law, ensuring that legitimate grievances were resolved within the stipulated timeframe. She stated that citizens should not be compelled to make repeated and unnecessary visits to government offices for resolution of their genuine problems, adding that the district administration was taking all possible measures to ensure timely relief.
The Deputy Commissioner explained that the open door policy was aimed at providing citizens with direct access to the administration, expediting redressal of their grievances and strengthening public confidence in government institutions. She directed officers to deal with citizens courteously, give priority to their complaints and ensure prompt action on every case in accordance with the law and relevant rules and regulations.
