DC Inspects Petrol Subsidy Distribution Under PM Relief Scheme
LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st Sep, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Lahore, Muhammad Ali Ejaz, inspected the distribution of petrol subsidy under the Prime Minister’s Petrol Relief Scheme during a visit to Tehsil Sadr on Monday. Chief Officer Lahore Municipal Corporation, Kaleem Yousaf, and Assistant Commissioner Sadr Abid Mumtaz Khan accompanied him.
The DC inspected arrangements for providing Rs100 per litre subsidy to owners of motorcycles, rickshaws, Qingqis, and vehicles up to 800cc at a petrol station in Tehsil Sadar. He directed that petrol subsidy be provided to citizens at all petrol pumps across Lahore without any delay or hindrance.
Muhammad Ali Ejaz stated that the distribution of subsidy was being closely monitored at all petrol pumps, while assistant commissioners were personally supervising the process in the field. He warned that negligence or laxity in implementation of the Petrol Relief Scheme would not be tolerated.
Meanwhile, the DC also inspected ongoing repair work on WASA’s main sewerage line on Bedian Road and directed authorities to expedite the work while ensuring strict compliance with SOPs to minimize public inconvenience.
