DC Matiari Directs Effective Monitoring Of Education Sector In District
HYDERABAD, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 10th Sep, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Matiari Muhammad Danish Zakir on Thursday stated that special focus should be given to providing basic facilities in schools, attendance and face registration of teaching and non-teaching staff, the status of closed schools, transparent utilization of School Specific Budget (SSB), and students’ educational concerns. This is aimed at enhancing the effectiveness and efficiency of the education system in District Matiari.
He instructed concerned officers to promptly address issues related to educational institutions and efficiently monitor ongoing projects and programs.
According to a press release, Zakir made these remarks while chairing a meeting reviewing the education sector in district Matiari at the deputy commissioner secretariat Matiari. The meeting examined:
- The total number of primary and secondary schools in the district
- Schools lacking basic facilities
- Status of permanently closed schools
- Face registration of teaching and non-teaching staff
- Utilization of School Specific Budget (SSB)
During the gathering, education department representatives discussed various educational topics, performance updates from both primary and secondary sectors, and ongoing initiatives. The secondary education officer informed attendees about the cluster school policy, while the primary education officer provided insights on the SELECT project and other matters.
The meeting also delved into district reform oversight committee (DROC) progress, enrollment of out-of-school children, textbook distribution, and other pertinent educational issues. Zakir directed all involved departments to collaborate effectively for improving the education sector, ensuring tangible advancements regarding the day’s discussion points.
Attending the meeting were ADC-II Matiari Amjad Jamali, AC Matiari Abdul Wahab, AC Hala Dr. Mazaahir Ali, AC Saeedabad Mitha Khan, along with officials from the education department and representatives from other relevant departments.
