DC Reviewed Prime Minister's Fuel Relief Package Arrangements

Deputy Commissioner Hussain Ahmed Raza Chaudhry stated that Prime Minister of Pakistan, Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, formally launched the fuel relief package for motorcycles, rickshaws, vehicles up to 800cc, and other eligible citizens. He emphasized that concerned officers should ensure effective implementation to deliver benefits to deserving citizens.
During a meeting regarding the package's implementation and monitoring, attended by Additional Deputy Commissioners, Assistant Commissioners, President Petrol Pumps Association, and relevant officers, the Deputy Commissioner issued the following directives:
- Assistant Commissioners must strictly monitor petrol pumps, ensuring no hindrance in delivering fuel relief to eligible citizens.
- Negligence or non-cooperation in implementing the government package will not be tolerated. Violating petrol pump owners will face strict action, including sealing the pumps, registering cases, and imposing heavy fines.
- Increase public awareness about the relief package's procedure and registration process. Set up special counters and registration desks at petrol pumps to facilitate registration for eligible vehicle owners.
- Assistant Commissioners and officers should physically visit petrol pumps to oversee the relief package's implementation and promptly resolve citizen concerns.
