Despite Pakistan suffering a 0-3 clean sweep in the three-match Test series against England, captain Babar Azam was among the Pakistani batsmen to rise in the latest ICC Test rankings, while the bowlers’ rankings saw declines.

Key Rankings Changes:

  • Babar Azam: Climbed two places from 15th to 13th with 684 points.
  • Saud Shakeel: Rose two places, moving from 18th to 16th with 674 points.
  • Mohammad Rizwan: Dropped one place from 33rd to 34th with 593 points.
  • Shan Masood: Climbed four places from 41st to 37th with 586 points.
  • Salman Ali Agha: Fell one place to 44th with 559 points.
  • Abdullah Shafique: Dropped 11 places to 46th with 556 points.

Other notable rankings:

  • Imam-ul-Haq retained his 58th position with 506 points.
  • Razaullah remained in 91st place.
  • Azan Owais climbed six places to 95th with 358 points.

Bowlers:

  • Noman Ali: Dropped from ninth to 10th place with 777 points.
  • Mohammad Abbas: Fell one place to 16th with 713 points.
  • Shaheen Afridi retained 31st place with 593 points.
  • Sajid Khan also remained at 32nd with 587 points.

Fast bowlers Hasan Ali (44th), Khurram Shahzad (55th), Ali Usman (75th), Mohammad Ali (81st), and Aamer Jamal (83rd) also featured in the rankings. Spinners Asif Afridi (91st) complete the list of Pakistani bowlers in the top 100.

Global Leaders:

  • Mitchell Starc (Australia) - Top-ranked Test bowler.
  • Matt Henry (New Zealand) - Second place.
  • Ollie Robinson (England) - Climbed to third place.
  • Jasprit Bumrah (India) and Pat Cummins (Australia) - Fourth and fifth, respectively.
