DC Reviews Arrangements for Peaceful Eid Milad Celebrations
SARGODHA, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 26th Aug, 2026) Comprehensive arrangements were made across Sargodha district on the occasion of Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner (DC), Hussain Ahmed Raza Chaudhry, to provide exceptional facilities, cleanliness, and security for devotees.
District-Wide Preparations
The district administration, municipal institutions, and relevant departments worked in tandem to facilitate Milad processions and gatherings in the city and all tehsils of the district. Key routes, major roads, markets, and streets were cleaned, cleared, and decorated, with special illumination arranged at government buildings, important locations, and markets.
Reception Camps and Convenience
The administration established reception camps at various spots for citizens’ convenience and to warmly receive Milad processions. Assistant commissioners in every tehsil supervised arrangements, participated in events, and welcomed processions at different venues. Additional deputy commissioners and other district officers also remained on-site, monitoring preparations to ensure participants’ comfort.
Instruction from Punjab CM and Support Services
These efforts were guided by the instructions of Punjab Chief Minister (CM), Maryam Nawaz Sharif. Official sabeels (water stations) were set up at multiple locations for participants. The Suthra Punjab Agency also deployed camps and mobile sabeels along procession routes, offering cold water, syrup, and juice to devotees. Sweets and langar (community meals) were distributed at various places.
Cleanliness, Drainage, and Emergency Services
Suthra Punjab Agency teams maintained cleanliness along procession routes, while municipal bodies and WASA (water supply and sanitation authority) teams carried out cleaning, drainage, and other necessary tasks. WASA also established a camp to swiftly address any emergencies during the processions. Teams from the Health Department, Rescue 1122, and other relevant organizations were deployed along routes, prepared to handle unforeseen situations. FESCO (electricity supply company), Sui Gas, and other departments likewise remained on alert to ensure uninterrupted services.
Foolproof Security Measures
Foolproof security arrangements were made for Eid Milad-un-Nabi processions and gatherings. Police officials and law enforcement personnel were strategically positioned, while administrative officers continuously monitored security preparations. The district administration also set up a special control room at the Deputy Commissioner’s Office for direct oversight of Milad events throughout the district.

DC Hussain Ahmed Raza Chaudhry emphasized that all relevant institutions had been placed on high alert for Eid Milad-un-Nabi, and arrangements were subject to ongoing monitoring and evaluation.
