DC Reviews Preparations for Polio Booster Dose Campaign
Hyderabad, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 17th Aug, 2026)
Deputy Commissioner Zain-ul-Abideen Memon chaired a meeting at his office to review preparations for the upcoming Polio Booster Dose Campaign in the district.
The meeting reviewed the arrangements made by relevant departments for the campaign. The Deputy Commissioner stressed the need for:
- Effective coordination among all involved institutions,
- A comprehensive strategy, and
- Public awareness about the importance of the booster dose for 100% success.
He noted that samples from Hyderabad district tested negative.
District Health Officer (DHO) Pir Ghulam Hussain directed officers to ensure all children aged 0–10 receive polio drops during the campaign, scheduled from August 20 to 31, 2026. He urged everyone to contribute to making the national campaign successful and raise awareness about the booster dose’s importance.
N-Stop Dr. Lubna provided a detailed briefing on campaign preparations. All concerned officers attended.
