ABU DHABI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News / WAM – 15th Sep, 2026) The Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) has updated the emirate’s regulatory system for holiday homes, offering a more streamlined experience for owners, operators, and sector partners.
The improvements:

- Simplify licensing procedures.
- Provide a modern, flexible digital platform.
These advancements mark a milestone in DCT Abu Dhabi’s digital transformation journey.
In addition to licensing, the digital platform:
- Enhances regulatory compliance.
- Improves revenue management for holiday homes.
- Integrates with government entities.
Hamad Mohammed Alsudain, Acting Executive Director of Support Services at DCT Abu Dhabi, stated:
"The holiday homes sector continues to experience robust growth, driven by greater transparency and enhanced efficiency. These advances further strengthen Abu Dhabi’s position as a world-class tourism destination."
He further emphasized the commitment to digital transformation and the Tourism Strategy 2030‘s goal of diversifying accommodation options.
The enhanced system:
- Maintains quality and safety standards through improved monitoring, inspections, and compliance tracking.
- Complies with all data protection policies, ensuring secure handling of sensitive information.
These latest updates build upon improvements made in 2024, which integrated the licensing platform with the Department of Municipalities and Transport and the self-inspection system, reducing permit issuance time to under six hours.
