DG Fisheries For Effective Safety Of Fishermen’s Lives

Director General of Gwadar Fisheries Balochistan, Atiqullah Khan, on Wednesday issued directives to strengthen anti-trawling operations, activate marine patrols, and prioritize the safety of fishermen's lives, property, and livelihoods.
He made these remarks while meeting a delegation led by Haji Khudadad Waju of the Gwadar Fishermen Ittehad.
The discussion focused on:
- Curbing illegal trawling
- Addressing fishermen's concerns
- Protecting marine environments
- Enhancing educational opportunities for fisherman's children
Khan assured that community input would be sought regarding welfare fund utilization and promised to provide modern monitoring systems and necessary equipment for patrol teams. The delegation also proposed effective use of welfare funds for the community's betterment.
