Different Delegations Hold Interactive Session With IGFC KP North on Defence Day
PESHAWAR, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – September 7, 2026) On the occasion of Defence and Martyrs’ Day, delegations comprising tribal youth, madrassa students and members of minority communities visited the Headquarters of Frontier Corps KP North at historic Bala Hisar Fort in Peshawar.
The visit began with the participants paying their respects at the Martyrs’ Memorial, laying a floral wreath and offering Fateha for the elevation of the ranks of the nation’s martyrs. The students subsequently toured various sections of the historic Bala Hisar Fort and were briefed on the rich history, traditions and sacrifices of Frontier Corps (FC) KP North, says a statement issued here on Monday.
The key part of the visit was an interactive and constructive session between the visiting delegations and Inspector General Frontier Corps KP North, Major General Rao Imran Sartaj. The session featured a detailed discussion on the prevailing security situation, ongoing counter-terrorism operations and the importance of civil-military coordination and cooperation between the people and the armed forces.
The young participants openly raised questions and expressed their views, leading to a candid, positive and constructive dialogue. Major General Rao Imran Sartaj responded to the questions with detailed, logical and fact-based answers. He urged the youth to play their role in countering fake news, false narratives and negative propaganda being spread by elements hostile to the country.
He also advised the participants not to rely on rumours circulating on social media and instead make research and verification a regular practice to access facts and develop informed opinions.
The Inspector General FC expressed the hope that through greater awareness, responsible use of social media and cooperation between citizens and state institutions, Pakistan would continue to emerge as a strong, stable and resilient state.
