DIG Faisal Holds Open Court To Hear Public Complaints

Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Operations Faisal Kamran has continued holding open courts to hear complaints of citizens belonging to different walks of life.

During the open court, citizens lodged complaints regarding:

  • Financial disputes
  • Fraud
  • Violence
  • Mortgaged properties
  • Other issues

The DIG issued directions to the relevant police officers for the resolution of the complaints and legal action where required.

  • A citizen complained of fraud in a financial transaction, following which the SHO Shahdara Town was directed to initiate legal proceedings in the light of available evidence.
  • In another case, a citizen’s alleged fraud in the purchase of a vehicle led to the SHO Defence-C being directed to resolve the matter in accordance with the law.
  • A citizen complained that his step-sons had expelled him from his house and were threatening him. The SHO Badami Bagh was directed to provide protection to the complainant and take legal action.
  • A complaint regarding alleged fraud involving a mortgaged house was received, prompting the SHO Iqbal Town to initiate legal proceedings after verification of the facts.
  • A woman complained against her former husband for allegedly not handing over their child. The SHO Factory Area was directed to ensure implementation of court orders.
  • Another complaint involved a daughter-in-law’s family accused of assaulting her mother-in-law. The SHO Nishtar Colony was directed to register a case if the allegation of violence was established.
  • A citizen also complained that money entrusted to another person had not been returned. The SHO Rang Mahal was directed to take legal action on the basis of evidence.
  • A woman complained of domestic violence, leading to the SHO Harbanspura being directed to register a case.
  • A citizen also approached the DIG with a complaint against a moneylender. The SHO Sattukatla was directed to take action against the alleged moneylender in accordance with the law.

Faisal Kamran stated that it is the police’s responsibility to provide protection and legal guidance to citizens. He assured that the police remain committed to assisting victims and are alert to protect citizens.
