DPM/FM Dar, Turkish FM Discuss Bilateral Ties and Regional Matters

ISLAMABAD, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 10th Sep, 2026) Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar and Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan have emphasized the importance of maintaining close consultations on regional matters including through the Regional Four (R4) framework with Saudi Arabia and Egypt.

According to a press statement issued by the Foreign Office on Thursday, the two ministers reviewed bilateral relations and regional developments of mutual interest during their late-night conversation yesterday. They reaffirmed their shared position on Palestine and supported the joint statement by eight Arab-Islamic countries regarding the UK’s decision to ban imports from illegal Israeli settlements and restrict services linked to such settlements.

They also expressed solidarity with the Joint Statement on the Two-State Solution by the UK and other European countries. The two leaders agreed to meet on the sidelines of the forthcoming UNGA in New York.
