DPM/FM Ishaq Dar Reviews Preparations for ECO COM to be Held on Nov 15-16
ISLAMABAD, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – September 11, 2026) Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar chaired a meeting on Friday to review preparations for the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) Council of Ministers (COM) scheduled to be hosted by Pakistan on November 15-16, 2026.
During the meeting, he was briefed on various aspects including:
- Proposed programme and agenda
- Participation
- Logistics
- Other arrangements
Dar reviewed these preparations in detail and provided guidance on key areas for the upcoming COM meeting. He stressed Pakistan’s commitment to ECO and its role in fostering regional trade, connectivity, and economic cooperation. He directed all relevant officials to ensure comprehensive preparations for a productive and successful meeting.
The meeting was attended by Foreign Secretary Amna Baloch and other senior officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
