DPO Orders Foolproof Security For Prisoners, Tightens Lockup Vigilance
SIALKOT, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 7th Sep, 2026) District Police Officer (DPO), Captain (Retd.) Dost Muhammad, on Monday directed police officers to ensure foolproof security arrangements during the transportation and court production of prisoners, warning that negligence or dereliction of duty will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
He issued these directions while chairing a high-level review meeting at the Conference Room of Police Lines to evaluate security measures concerning judicial guards, safe transit of prisoners, and lockup management at police stations.
DPO Dost Muhammad emphasized the strict implementation of prescribed Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) during the production and movement of under-trial prisoners. He directed supervisory officers to personally brief the deployed personnel before duty to prevent any security lapses.
Addressing the officers, the DPO reiterated the department’s zero-tolerance policy against corruption and reaffirmed his commitment to maintaining complete transparency within the force. He declared that personnel involved in corrupt practices would face strict departmental and legal action without discrimination to cleanse the police department of "black sheep."
He urged all officers to execute their official duties with professionalism, vigilance, complete accountability, and unwavering integrity.
The meeting was attended by Sub-Divisional Police Officers (SDPOs), Station House Officers (SHOs), and in-charges of judicial guards.
