DPO Torghar Holds Open Court in Gwandala Village to Address Public Grievances

TORGHAR, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 8th Sep, 2026) District Police Officer Torghar Arshad Khan (PSP) on Tuesday held an open court in Gwandala village within the jurisdiction of Karor Police Station to hear public grievances and address local security-related concerns.

The participants raised various individual and collective issues and complaints before the DPO. Arshad Khan listened to the grievances and issued on-the-spot directives for the resolution of several police-related matters. He also instructed the relevant police officers to take necessary steps to resolve other complaints. Issues falling outside the police jurisdiction were also discussed, for which he directed officials to correspond with the concerned departments and institutions.

The DPO emphasized that protecting the lives and property of citizens and maintaining law and order remained among the top priorities of the police. He stated that his office’s doors were always open to the public and encouraged citizens to identify any shortcomings at the police-station level to further improve policing.

Regarding land disputes, Khan noted that Dispute Resolution Committees had been activated at police-station level to facilitate the peaceful settlement of such disputes. He also called for public cooperation in combating drug abuse, particularly the use and sale of ice, and urged parents to monitor their children and report drug dealers and suspicious activities to police.

Arshad Khan appealed to residents to remain vigilant and promptly inform police about any suspicious activity, emphasizing that public cooperation was essential for maintaining peace and security in the district.

At the conclusion, local elders and residents appreciated the holding of the open court and praised the district police for providing a forum to hear and address public grievances.
