DSP, ASI Among Six Policemen Injured in Attack on Police Party in DIKhan

Dera Ismail Khan, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 29th Aug, 2026) Six policemen, including a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), an Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI), and a woman constable, were injured when suspected terrorists belonging to Fitna al-Khawarij attacked a police party near Amin Farm on Dera-Hathala Road in the Dera Ismail Khan district.

According to police, the attack occurred while a police party, led by DSP Kulachi Kifayatullah and Station House Officer (SHO) Kalachi Sher Afzal Khan, was en route to conduct a raid in the area. The attackers opened indiscriminate fire on the police party near Amin Farm. During the firing, the police mobile carrying DSP Kifayatullah reportedly veered off the road and overturned, resulting in injuries to several police personnel.

The injured were identified as:

  • ASI Nauman Qasuria
  • Constable Qasim
  • DSP Kifayatullah’s gunman Ghulam Saeed
  • Hashim
  • Woman Constable Amber Altaish
  • DSP Kifayatullah

Police personnel returned fire, forcing the attackers to flee from the scene.

Soon after, a substantial contingent of police and other law-enforcement agencies arrived at the location and launched a search operation to track down the fleeing attackers. Security personnel surrounded the area and initiated efforts to locate those involved in the attack.

The injured police officials and personnel were transported to the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital, Dera Ismail Khan, for medical attention, where they received the necessary care.

Later, Regional Police Officer (RPO) Dera Ghulam Mubashir Maken and District Police Officer (DPO) Dera Ziauddin Ahmed visited the DHQ Hospital to inquire about the health of the injured police officers and personnel. The senior police officials met with the injured individuals, inquired about their well-being, and praised their courage and determination while performing their duties amidst the terrorist attack.

RPO Ghulam Mubashir Maken provided financial assistance to the injured police officers and personnel on this occasion. He obtained detailed information from the doctors present at the hospital regarding the condition of the injured individuals, their treatment, and the medical facilities being provided to them. He instructed the hospital administration to ensure the provision of the best possible medical care and amenities for the injured policemen.

Speaking on the occasion, RPO Ghulam Mubashir Maken expressed his appreciation for the unwavering resolve of the police force in the fight against terrorism. He commended the courage and sacrifices displayed by police officers and personnel who continue to serve at the forefront without considering their personal safety.
