Dubai Finance and Digital Dubai Enable Jaywan on DubaiPay

Dubai Finance (DOF) and Digital Dubai (DDA) have announced the activation of Jaywan, the UAE’s national payment network, on the DubaiPay platform. This expansion enhances payment options and aligns with the Dubai Cashless Strategy.

Jaywan payment services are now accessible through DubaiPay following successful operational testing by DDA, ensuring secure and efficient transactions. The first government transaction using the network was made through the Dubai Cares donation service, marking Jaywan’s debut across government payment channels on DubaiPay.

Jaywan, operated by Al Etihad Payments (a subsidiary of the Central Bank of the UAE), offers a secure and efficient national payment system for individuals, merchants, and financial institutions, promoting the localization of electronic payments. Jaywan cardholders can use their cards at point-of-sale terminals, ATMs, and e-commerce platforms.

Abdulrahman Saleh Al Saleh, Director-General of DOF, expressed:

"Activating Jaywan on DubaiPay is another significant milestone in Dubai’s digital payments development, reflecting our commitment to supporting national payment solutions and integrating them into government services."

He further emphasized DOF’s collaboration with partners to build an integrated, secure, and resilient payment ecosystem, supporting Dubai’s vision of becoming a leading digital economy and advancing the objectives of the Dubai Cashless Strategy.

Hamad Obaid Al Mansoori, Director-General of DDA, stated that integrating Jaywan into DubaiPay is another step towards developing shared digital infrastructure for more integrated and efficient government services. This integration offers expanded customer choice, enhances the customer experience, and boosts confidence in digital transactions while enabling national initiatives to seamlessly integrate into Dubai’s digital ecosystem.

Al Mansoori added that DDA continues to build an advanced digital payments ecosystem based on integration, reliability, and innovation, aiming to simplify, secure, and enhance everyday transactions.

Matar Al Hemeiri, Chief Executive of the Digital Dubai Government Establishment, noted that this activation strengthens Dubai’s digital infrastructure, delivering more integrated and seamless customer experiences and supporting the emirate’s vision.
