Educating Deserving Children: An Investment in Future, Says Governor
KARACHI, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 27th Aug, 2026) The Governor of Sindh, Syed Muhammad Nehal Hashmi, stated that providing education to deserving children is an investment in a brighter future. He emphasized the collective responsibility of the government, prominent individuals, philanthropists, and welfare organizations to support needy students and remove barriers to their learning.
The Governor’s remarks came during his address as the chief guest at an event organized by the Kachi Kumbhar Khidmat-e-Khalq Welfare Association. The association distributed uniforms, shoes, bags, and other essential school supplies to approximately 3,000 deserving male and female students.
According to the Governor, every capable individual can contribute by educating just one child within their means, thereby positively impacting the future of thousands. He highlighted that education serves as a cornerstone for progress, benefiting not only individuals but society at large.
Noting the launch of the "Youth Digital Hub" app under the Prime Minister’s Youth Program, the Governor mentioned its comprehensive facilities, including scholarships, business loans, job opportunities, skill development, and technical training. This platform aims to empower young people by providing various avenues for education and economic growth in one place.
He expressed the importance of equipping children and youth in Lyari with quality education, skills, and modern technology. Praising the region’s historical significance and its talented youth, the Governor acknowledged their remarkable interest in sports, particularly football, boxing, athletics, and other disciplines. He also commended the Kachi Kumbhar Khidmat-e-Khalq Welfare Association for its social and welfare services, especially in promoting education among deserving segments of society.
Encouraging philanthropists and prominent members of society to join this noble cause, the Governor reiterate that collective efforts can secure a better future for thousands of children and bring about positive societal change.
