Education Minister Takes Up Teaching Role
Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat started teaching at a government school on the directions of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif. This move comes as part of efforts to assess ground realities and improve the quality of education.
On Tuesday, the minister taught English and Mathematics to students of Classes III and V at the Government Girls High School Ladhar. Before class, he evaluated their learning levels and discussed ethical values like cleanliness, patience, and tolerance with them.
Rana Sikandar Hayat fostered a positive learning environment and engaged directly with the students, who expressed their enthusiasm for him. They commented that it felt strange having a minister as their new teacher.
During his visit, the minister also announced improvements to the school’s facilities, including:
- A new water cooler
- Three additional classrooms
- Robotics and STEM laboratories
- Equipment for cricket, badminton, football, and other sports.
He emphasized that this hands-on experience would provide valuable insight into school conditions and educational quality. The minister noted that such visits reflect Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s commitment to reform-oriented governance.
