Efforts on to ensure healthy food items for citizens
The district administration has launched action against bakery factories for poor hygiene and violations of food safety standards under the provincial government’s public agenda. According to the administration, Additional Assistant Commissioner Tank Malik Sajid Ali conducted inspections of various bakery factories and reviewed cleanliness and hygiene arrangements at the facilities. During the inspections, poor sanitation and violations of basic health and hygiene standards were found at one factory, which was sealed on the spot. The owners of other factories were also fined for violating hygiene requirements.
He directed the fined owners to immediately rectify the identified deficiencies and ensure strict compliance with hygiene standards in the preparation of bakery products. He stated that it is a top priority of the district administration to provide citizens with clean, safe, and quality food items. He added that negligence or compromise on hygiene and food safety standards would not be tolerated.
