Eid Milad-un-Nabi was celebrated in

with great religious zeal and fervour on Wednesday as thousands of people participated in processions, Milad gatherings, and other programmes held across the city to commemorate the birth anniversary of Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (peace be upon him) (PBUH).
Festivities and Decorations
The city presented a festive look with mosques, streets, markets, commercial centres, and important public buildings adorned with colourful lights, green flags, banners, and buntings. Special arrangements were made for the distribution of sweets, food, milk, and other refreshments among the participants.
Procession and Devotees
The central Eid Milad-un-Nabi procession followed a traditional route through the city, with a large number of devotees—including religious scholars, children, and people from diverse walks of life—taking part. Participants expressed their love and devotion to the Holy Prophet (SAWW) through recitation of Naat and Durood.
Milad Gatherings and Naat Mehlifels
Numerous Milad gatherings and Mehafil-e-Naat were organised at mosques, madaris, educational institutions, and other venues. Religious scholars highlighted various aspects of the blessed life, character, and teachings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH).
The speakers emphasised the message of peace, brotherhood, tolerance, compassion, and social harmony, urging the faithful to follow the preaching of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and make these teachings a practical part of their lives.
Peaceful Observance and Security
The occasion was observed peacefully across Multan, thanks to comprehensive security arrangements. Over 2,500 police officers and personnel were deployed throughout the district to secure 107 processions and rallies and 25 Milad gatherings. The events were closely monitored, with police personnel assigned to designated routes. Special traffic management arrangements ensured citizen safety and smooth movement of emergency services.
District administration and police authorities maintained vigilance throughout the day, supervising security and traffic arrangements to ensure a peaceful celebration.
Nationwide Celebrations
The celebrations in Multan formed part of nationwide Eid Milad-un-Nabi observances, with processions, religious gatherings, and special programmes organised in cities and towns across Pakistan. The peaceful festivities reflected the people’s deep love and devotion towards the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and their commitment to follow his teachings promoting peace, compassion, justice, tolerance, and brotherhood.
