Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) Celebration Preparations in Full Swing
Rawalpindi, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 23rd Aug, 2026) The preparations to celebrate Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) have entered their final phase in Rawalpindi, with the city taking on a festive look as homes, mosques, markets, public and private buildings, streets, and major roads are being illuminated and decorated.
Green flags, colourful lights, and electric decorations were being installed across various parts of the city, while residents were also adorning their homes to mark the arrival of 12 Rabi-ul-Awwal. A series of Milad and Naat gatherings, Seerat-un-Nabi (PBUH) conferences, and other religious events were being organized in different areas. Preparations for processions and gatherings had also been finalized by Milad committees.
The organizers had been directed to ensure strict compliance with the prescribed code of conduct and security guidelines during the events and processions. Meanwhile, the police and district administration had finalized comprehensive security arrangements for 12th of Rabi-ul-Awwal to maintain law and order and ensure the safety of citizens. Additional police personnel would be deployed at major mosques, venues of religious gatherings, procession routes, markets, and other sensitive locations. Security teams would also monitor the movement of processions and keep a close watch on key points.
Special traffic arrangements were being made along procession routes to ensure the smooth flow of traffic and minimize inconvenience to commuters during the celebrations. The city’s festive decorations and preparations reflected the enthusiasm of residents as Rawalpindi gears up to celebrate Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) with religious devotion and traditional fervour.
