Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) Processions Conclude Peacefully Amid Tight Security in DIKhan
Dera Ismail Khan, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – August 26, 2026) Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) was celebrated with religious enthusiasm across Dera Ismail Khan district on Wednesday, with all processions, Milad gatherings, and religious programs concluding peacefully under comprehensive security measures.
Special prayers were offered at mosques for the unity of the Muslim Ummah, peace, progress, and prosperity of the country. Various locations across the district hosted religious gatherings and ceremonies, while numerous processions were organized to commemorate the birth anniversary of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
Religious scholars and ulema, addressing the crowds, emphasized different aspects of Seerat-un-Nabi (PBUH) and encouraged people to follow the teachings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) in their daily lives. They stressed the importance of peace, tolerance, brotherhood, and harmony, calling for imparting these values to younger generations.
Two major processions were held in Dera Ismail Khan city. The first started from Haq Nawaz Park, ending at Hafiz Jamal Maidan Mosque, while the central procession commenced from Taj Masjid, culminating at Milad Park after following its traditional routes.
Participants expressed their devotion and love for the Holy Prophet (PBUH), with the city echoing chants of “Labbaik Ya Rasool Allah” and “Marhaba Ya Rasool Allah.” Naat reciters performed naats in praise of the Holy Prophet (PBUH), while scholars delivered speeches highlighting his teachings and exemplary life.
According to a police spokesperson, the district police deployed over 3,000 officers and personnel at key locations, along procession routes, and other sensitive points to ensure the security of the celebrations. Senior police officers supervised the arrangements, with police remaining alert throughout to guarantee the safety of participants and maintain law and order.
District Police Officer (DPO) Dera Ismail Khan, Ziauddin Ahmed, visited the main Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) procession and inspected the security arrangements. He provided necessary instructions to officers and personnel on duty, emphasizing that protecting citizens’ lives and property was the police’s top priority.
Ziauddin Ahmed commended the officers and personnel for their dedicated service, stating that effective planning, close collaboration, professional performance by the police, and public cooperation contributed to the peaceful conclusion of all Eid Milad-un-Nabi processions, gatherings, and religious programs across the district. He reaffirmed the police’s commitment to ensuring public safety.
