Eight Marla State Land Retreived In Anti-encroachment Drive In Dera
DERA ISMAIL KHAN, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 9th Sep, 2026) The district administration has launched a major operation against encroachment, retrieving eight marlas of government land in Mouza Muryali, with an estimated market value of Rs 5.28 million.
Operation Details:
- The operation was conducted under the supervision of Assistant Commissioner Dera Ismail Khan, Dr. Muhammad Hamid Siddiq, in response to public complaints.
- During the operation, illegal stalls, temporary encroachments, unauthorized speed breakers, and other obstructions were removed from roads and public passageways in Muryali and Ijazabad.
- As a result, eight marlas of government land was reterieved following the removal of encroachments in Mouza Muryali.
Previous Warnings:
Shopkeepers and residents had previously been warned to adhere to designated limits and remove encroachments from government land, footpaths, and roads. Those who failed to comply faced immediate action.
Follow-up Operation:
A follow-up operation was also conducted at Qureshi Mor, where temporary encroachments, sheds, unauthorized structures, and obstructions had reappeared after an earlier drive were removed.
Dr. Muhammad Hamid Siddiq, Assistant Commissioner, emphasized that this is not a one-time campaign but part of a continuous, phased follow-up operation to prevent the re-establishment of encroachments at cleared locations. He stated: "No encroachments, illegal stalls, sheds, obstructions, or unauthorized speed breakers will be allowed on public roads and government land."
