Elon Musk has expressed his support for a potential merger between Tesla and SpaceX, two of his flagship companies, stating it could be a "good idea."
During a call with financial analysts on Tuesday, regarding SpaceX's quarterly business results, Musk said, "Do I think it would be a good idea? Yes." However, he emphasized that this is a proposal under active consideration and that special committees from both companies are exploring the possibilities.
Musk added, "The special committees have not reached agreement on terms of any transaction and there's no guarantee that they will. But I do think there is a lot of merit to merging and a lot to be gained."
This development is a breaking news story, and more details will be added as they become available.
