"Musk spoke to me like an employee and always made me feel inferior and unimportant," his ex-wife Justine Wilson said.

In a new documentary about Elon Musk's life, titled "Musk", directed by Alex Gibney, Wilson claims that Musk often made her feel disrespected and unimportant, constantly pointing out her shortcomings. She recalled an incident from their marriage where, during their first dance at their wedding in 2000, Musk said, "I am the one with the power in this relationship."

Wilson and Musk married in 2000 and separated in 2008; they have six children together.

She also discussed Musk’s treatment of their transgender daughter, Vivian, claiming he ended her health insurance after she came out as transgender and failed to try to improve his relationship with her. Wilson further asserted that Musk views the mothers of his children merely as "women who bear his children" and considers them interchangeable.

Musk has called the documentary a "hit piece" while his lawyer has raised legal objections to some of its claims.
