Employees Union Elected in CBA Referendum of HW&SC

Hyderabad Water and Sewerage Corporation (HW&SC) has successfully elected its first Collective Bargaining Agent (CBA) through a referendum held on September 8, 2026.

According to preliminary results, the Employees Union led with 732 votes, followed by the Labour Union with 331 votes and Mehran Workers Union with 105 votes.

Six polling stations were set up for the referendum, allowing 2,123 eligible employees, including 370 regular staff, to cast their votes. The referendum was originally scheduled for April 16 but was postponed.

Polling stations were located in various areas, including Latifabad, Civic Center, New Filter Plant, Tulsi Das pumping station, and Qasimabad.
