Environment Agency Crackdown: Restaurants Sealed, Notices Issued to Over 150 Outlets

The Punjab Environment Protection Agency sealed 21 restaurants and issued notices to over 150 food outlets across Rawalpindi for violating environmental regulations, officials said on September 16, 2026. Field and night squads targeted various eateries and sealed many restaurants. Officials added that environmental compliance was enforced at several other commercial locations during the operations.

According to officials, the agency reiterated its commitment to continuous night monitoring and strict legal action against environmental violators without discrimination.
