EU Ambassador Visits SIMAP, Discusses MDR Compliance
SIALKOT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Sep, 2026) Ambassador of the European Union (EU) to Pakistan, Raimundas Karoblis, visited the Surgical Instruments Manufacturers Association of Pakistan (SIMAP), where he held an interactive session with representatives of Pakistan’s surgical instruments industry.
Chairman SIMAP Zeshan Tariq, along with members of the surgical instruments industry, welcomed the EU Ambassador on his arrival. The session focused on EU Medical Device Regulation (MDR) compliance and key challenges confronting Pakistan’s surgical instruments manufacturers and exporters. Industry participants actively took part in a question-and-answer session and raised concerns regarding various aspects of MDR requirements and compliance.
Ambassador Raimundas Karoblis listened to the concerns of industry representatives and provided detailed responses and clarification on matters related to EU MDR compliance.
