Excise Department Seizes 5.8kg Drugs, Arrests Four

PESHAWAR, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 9th Sep, 2026) The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control Department has seized 5,800 grams of drugs and arrested four suspects in separate operations against drug suppliers in Peshawar.

According to an official release, the department conducted operations under the provincial government’s zero-tolerance policy against narcotics and on the directives of Minister for Excise Syed Fakhr Jehan.

In an operation, Excise Intelligence Squad I-B searched a vehicle (CAG-868) at a joint check post and recovered 1,200 grams of hashish. The officials arrested the suspect, Danish Safteem Malik son of Muhammad Safteem Malik, at the spot and registered a case against him at Excise Police Station Peshawar.

In another operation at H-Gul Chowk, the squad recovered 1,000 grams of heroin and 1,200 grams of hashish and arrested two suspects, Jalat Khan son of Shahzada and Fazal Hadi son of Salam Bar Khan. Police registered a case against the suspects and launched further legal proceedings.

Separately, Excise Police Peshawar acted on a tip-off at H-Gul Chowk and foiled an attempt to smuggle drugs concealed in a schoolbag. The officials recovered 2,400 grams of hashish and arrested suspect Kameen Khan son of Adam Khan at the spot.

The department registered cases against all the arrested suspects and initiated further investigations.
