Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) organized a guidance and awareness seminar for small shopkeepers in Chiniot on Wednesday, focusing on tax schemes and compliance.

Inland Revenue Officer Rana Muhammad Arshad explained the special scheme for small shopkeepers with annual turnover up to Rs. 200 million, offering significant benefits:

  • Tax exemption up to Rs. 25,000
  • Exemption from Point of Sale (POS) requirements
  • Waiver on digital invoicing and audit

He encouraged traders to utilize the "Asan Tax App" for easier tax filing.

The seminar aimed to inform participants about various aspects of the scheme and facilitate their registration and tax return processes. Representatives from local press clubs, traders’ associations, social media activists, bar association members, lawyers, and other stakeholders attended.
