FCCI Hails Moody’s Upgrade Of Pakistan’s Credit Rating
FCCI (Chamber of Commerce and Industry) President Farooq Yousuf Sheikh has welcomed Moody’s improvement in Pakistan’s credit rating, describing it as a significant confidence-building development. This, he believes, could strengthen the country's standing with international financial institutions and attract more foreign investment.
According to a statement released on Tuesday, the enhanced rating will boost global financial institutions' and investors' confidence in Pakistan's economy. He highlighted the increase in the nation's foreign exchange reserves as evidence of improved economic governance.
The FCCI president noted that the positive change could encourage foreign direct investment (FDI) by demonstrating Pakistan's stronger international creditworthiness. He expressed optimism that this development would lead to increased investment, business expansion, and employment opportunities, while also paving the way for further consolidation of the country’s economic position in global markets.
The business community eagerly anticipates continued economic reforms and policy measures aimed at capitalizing on these gains reflected in Pakistan's improved credit assessment.
