FGP and RLKU Join Forces to Empower Youth and Advance Research

Freedom Gate Prosperity (FGP) and Rashid Latif Khan University (RLKU), Lahore, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to empower young people and women through education, research, skills development, entrepreneurship, and community engagement.

Muhammad Anwar, Chief Executive Officer of FGP, and Prof. Dr. Saeed-ul-Hassan Chishti, Pro Vice Chancellor of RLKU, sealed the agreement. Present were Dr. Shahbaz Tariq, Head of Economy and Research at FGP; Dr. Ayaz Qaiser, Registrar of RLKU; Capt. M. Faisal Khalid, Chief Human Resources Officer of RLKU; and Dr. Ansar Abbas, Associate Dean of Faculty of Management Sciences, Hamdard University.

A Framework for Collaboration

The MoU establishes a framework for joint academic, research, and community-based initiatives aimed at:

  • Strengthening cooperation between academia and development sectors.
  • Fostering skills development, entrepreneurship, research, and civic engagement among young people and women.
  • Addressing contemporary development challenges such as climate change, environmental sustainability, healthcare, gender equality, and digital empowerment.

Muhammad Anwar emphasized the importance of sustainable development, highlighting the need for strong collaboration between educational institutions, civil society, policymakers, and the private sector. He stressed that Pakistan’s young population is a valuable asset and creating meaningful opportunities will empower them to contribute to inclusive economic growth and national development.

Prof. Dr. Saeed-ul-Hassan Chishti underscored the significance of connecting university education with practical experience and contemporary development challenges.
