Former Khasadars Lock SP Office in Khyber During Protest Over Service Issues

PESHAWAR, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 15th Sep, 2026) Former Khasadars staged a protest in Khyber district on Tuesday and locked the office of the Superintendent of Police (SP) as part of their campaign for resolution of service-related issues.

They demanded:

  • Equal treatment in service matters.
  • A clear service structure.
  • Appropriate designations.
  • Other facilities following their induction into the police system after the merger of the former tribal areas with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The protesters warned of expanding the protest and locking other government offices if their demands were not addressed.

They highlighted:

  • Their service in the former tribal administration.
  • Issues arising from their transition into the regular police system, including their posts, ranks, service structure, and employment matters.

The office lockout caused tension and disrupted routine administrative activities, raising concerns about the continuation of government services in the district.

Former Khasadars and Levies personnel became part of the provincial police system after the merger of the former tribal areas. Since then, discussions have continued regarding their posts, ranks, service structure, and other employment issues.

The protesters called for an early resolution of their outstanding service issues and stated they would continue their campaign until their demands were met.
