Governor Hashmi Inaugurates One-day Awareness and Diagnostic Eye Camp
KARACHI, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 10th Sep, 2026) Governor Sindh Syed Muhammad Nehal Hashmi inaugurated a one-day Awareness and Diagnostic Eye Camp at Governor House. The camp aimed to provide eye screening, diagnosis, and treatment facilities, along with raising awareness about preventive measures and proper eye care.
Speaking on the occasion, Governor Sindh emphasized that early diagnosis and timely treatment of eye diseases can save many people from losing their eyesight. He remarked that the true value of eyesight is understood by those who have lost it, and thus, efforts to prevent eye diseases should be encouraged.
In response to a media question about ongoing protests outside Governor House, Governor Hashmi stated that protest activities should not cause inconvenience to the public. He expressed that no government wishes to impose additional hardships on its citizens.
Regarding petroleum product prices, Governor Sindh mentioned that the Prime Minister aims to minimize people’s difficulties. As Pakistan imports oil from international markets, global market conditions are considered while determining petroleum product pricing.
When asked about tensions between Iran and the United States, Governor Hashmi revealed that the Prime Minister and Field Marshal are working to end the conflict. He stressed that peace in the region is in everyone’s interest.
