Governor Balochistan Pays Tribute to Armed Forces on Defence Day
Governor Jaffar Khan Mandokhail has said that Defence Day of Pakistan is a historic reminder of the nation’s unwavering resolve, unity, and sacrifices for the defense of the motherland. In his message, the Governor described September 6 as a shining example of bravery in national history, recalling the 1965 war when Pakistan’s armed forces confronted enemy aggression with courage and determination.
"This proud chapter of our history proves that national unity, faith, resolve, and patriotism are the greatest strengths in facing any challenge," he stated. Jaffar Mandokhail emphasized that Defence Day is not merely about remembering a past war but also an opportunity to renew the pledge of safeguarding national unity, security, and sovereignty.
He paid tribute to the armed forces, martyrs, veterans, and their families for their countless sacrifices in defending the country. Highlighting the broader concept of defense in the modern era, the Governor said that national security today extends beyond border protection to include economic stability, education, development, peace, and strong institutions. He stressed that protecting Pakistan’s dignity and sovereignty is a collective responsibility.
Jaffar Mandokhail urged the nation to carry forward the mission of the martyrs by working together for a strong, peaceful, developed, and united Pakistan.
