Governor, Muqam Discuss KP Security Situation
PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - September 28, 2026) Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Faisal Karim Kundi, met with Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit Baltistan, Engineer Amir Muqam, on Monday at his residence. The meeting discussed the deteriorating law and order situation in the province, political developments, and other matters of mutual interest.
Attending the meeting were:
- Chairman of the National Assembly Standing Committee on Defence, Sardar Fatihullah Khan Miankhel
- National Democratic Movement (NDM) chief and former MNA, Mohsin Dawar
- PPP Parliamentary Leader in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly, Ahmad Kundi
- PML provincial Information Secretary, Rehmat Salam Khattak
- MPA, Sobia Khan
- Former Senator, Bahramand Tangi.
The participants exchanged views on the prevailing security situation, political uncertainty and other issues, and deliberated on a number of proposals.
They expressed serious concern over rising insecurity in the province, attributing it to what they described as the provincial government's failure to maintain law and order.
