Governor Urges Elected Representatives To Take Steps For Addressing Public Issues
Balochistan Governor Jaffar Khan Mandokhel urged the elected representatives to effectively raise public issues before relevant departments and institutions, and follow up on sustainable solutions, ensuring that issues are not limited to complaints and assurances but are practically resolved. This call was made during a meeting with provincial ministers and Members of Provincial Assembly (MPAs) at the Governor House in Quetta.
Issues Discussed:
Various delegations, led by Mir Asim Kurd Gelu and Zarq Khan Mandokhel, discussed problems faced by people in Quetta city and its suburbs, including:
- Urbanization challenges
- Increase in street crimes
- Access to basic facilities
- Educational, health, water, drainage issues
Governor’s Perspective:
The Governor acknowledged the rapid expansion of Quetta, leading to increased urban population and corresponding problems such as administration, traffic, cleanliness, health, education, water, and drainage concerns. He emphasized the need for:
- Coordinated communication: Among all relevant institutions to tackle these issues.
- Public service standards: Ensuring citizens face minimal difficulties in accessing services.
- Mutual cooperation: Between government, administration, police, and public representatives to provide a better environment and basic facilities.
