Health Minister Calls for Strict Action Over PIMS Incident
Federal Minister for National Health Mustafa Kamal on Wednesday called for strict action against those found responsible for any negligence in the incident at the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS), where 14 infants were reportedly lost.
Speaking to a private news channel, he stated that no one would be spared if found responsible following the completion of the inquiry. He emphasized that those guilty must be held accountable under the law.
Mustafa Kamal further said he was prepared to face accountability if an investigation revealed any negligence or failure on his part, stressing that facts would be determined through a transparent inquiry.
He expressed deep sorrow over the deaths and offered his solidarity to the bereaved families who lost their newborn children, assuring that those responsible for any negligence would be dealt with appropriately.
