Healthcare Facilities At BHU Shorkot Reviewed
DERA ISMAIL KHAN, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – September 11, 2026) Assistant Commissioner Dr. Muhammad Hamid Siddique visited the Basic Health Unit (BHU) Shorkot to inspect the healthcare facilities and resources available for local residents.
During the visit, he reviewed the availability of medicines, attendance of medical staff, cleanliness arrangements, and healthcare services being provided to patients.
He directed the concerned staff to ensure timely and quality medical treatment for patients and stressed that negligence regarding staff attendance, cleanliness, and availability of medicines would not be tolerated.
Dr. Hamid Siddique also reviewed arrangements for establishing the Umeed-e-Sehat Telemedicine Centre at BHU Shorkot under the directives of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government. He inspected the designated room, electricity supply, internet connectivity, and other facilities required to make the telemedicine centre operational. He directed the relevant authorities to complete all necessary arrangements at the earliest and ensure that the telemedicine initiative becomes fully functional to provide improved healthcare services to people in remote areas.
The facility is aimed at enabling residents of remote areas to receive online consultations from specialist doctors.
