Heavy Rain Slows Islamabad Traffic; ITP Advises Motorists to Drive Carefully

Traffic Police (ITP) issued a traffic advisory on Tuesday as heavy rain continued in the Federal capital, cautioning that water accumulation on various roads could slow traffic. They advised citizens to allow extra time for their journeys.
An ITP official recommended that motorists and motorcyclists:
- Reduce speed during rain.
- Maintain a safe distance from vehicles ahead to prevent accidents.
- Use fog lights, remain in their lanes, and properly utilize side mirrors, indicators, and seat belts while driving.
- Motorcyclists should travel in the extreme left lane, keep their speed low, and wear helmets for safety.
The official assured that ITP personnel were on the roads to assist drivers, manage traffic flow, and guide citizens during the rainy weather. They can also tune into ITP FM 92.4 for traffic updates and guidance.
