Horticulture Agency Completes Plantation Of 10,000 More Trees, Plants In City
UrduPoint (September 01, 2026) – MULTAN (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News): The horticulture agency has completed the plantation of another 10,000 trees and plants as part of its ongoing citywide tree plantation drive.
This campaign is being led by the Managing Director of Horticulture Agency Multan, Syed Wasim Hassan, focusing on major roads, green belts, and public parks across the city. Kaner, Terminalia, and Arjun trees have been planted along the Bahawalpur Bypass to Vehari Chowk, while over 50 Tabebuia trees have been added to the green belt between Jameelabad and Pul Wasil.
During a visit to various sites, Syed Wasim Hassan emphasized that the city is being transformed into a greener and healthier urban environment in line with Punjab Chief Minister’s vision. He highlighted the agency’s focus on planting shade-providing trees along important roads and green belts to enhance the city’s aesthetics and environment.
“Making Multan a greener city was our mission, and adding tree plantation was the need of the hour,” said the MD. He encouraged people from all walks of life to actively participate in the initiative by planting at least one tree as their personal contribution towards a cleaner, greener, and healthier city.
