How Will the Government Pay Dealers for Subsidised Petrol? Dealers Refuse to Supply Fuel

The Pakistan Petroleum Dealers Association (PPDA) has voiced concerns about the relief scheme mechanism and refused to supply petrol, stating that the current approach is difficult to implement.
PPDA Vice Chairman Anwar Kamal highlighted several issues:
- Relief should be provided directly to the public, not through dealers.
- Dealer capital has been impacted by inflation.
- Oil marketing companies owe billions of rupees in dues to dealers.
Anwar Kamal questioned how the government plans to reimburse dealers for subsidised petrol, stating that dealers have yet to receive a response after three days of contacting the government. He also demanded an increase in dealer margins and expressed their unwillingness to supply petrol under the current scheme.
